Evil.

Consider this story.

To summarise. the Russians target maternity hospitals not because it strengthens their military position but because it reduces the Ukrainian population by carving out a great gap where there would normally be births.

Births should be a moment of joy for parents wherever they are but this is an exercise in extermination.

And consider this story.

“People are promoted to the rank of terrorist after their death,” said one intelligence source who accompanied forces on the ground. “If I had listened to the brigade, I would have come to the conclusion that we had killed 200% of Hamas operatives in the area.”

Sirens

It presents a little like the Jilly Cooper thing, Rivals, with a lot of glitz and some underlying darkness. But it’s much more absorbing than that, which I gave up on after maybe 1 and a half episodes. Something like that. Vapid, and no amount of top notch talent could help it escape.

Watching Sirens, on the other hand, the play-like features, distinct scenes such as Bruce and Peter chatting in Peter’s den, placed between TV incidentals made it a very satisfying experience.
