Black Cats

Ginger is Eugene’s mother. Eugene was chosen by our son from a litter of about 8 or 9 kittens being fostered by Friends of Felines. Before we collected Eugene, we were asked if we’d be prepared to take Ginger too. It seems that older black cats, and black cats in general, are hardest to home. One of the reasons, we heard, is that they are too difficult to photograph. So, here she is, snapped with my phone. Is it perfect? No, it’s not quite in focus. Does it say, “cat”? Yes, it does. Was it difficult? Well, anyone who has ever pointed a camera at a cat will know that they better push the shutter button quick else that cat’s going to come over and butt the camera before you know it. Apart from that, no it wasn’t.

Dandy in a bag

This is Dandy in a bag. Dandy is about 10, I think. He was found, when just a kitten, living under a communal wheelie bin in London, not far from where Charles Pooter lived.
